His career in Asia includes four years at VISA, where his responsibilities included market research across all product groups and markets, marketing for the launch of signature debit and online cardholder relationship strategy development.
Market research roles have included AC Nielsen (UK), where he was based onsite at SmithKline Beecham, providing marketing decision-making support and software training to more than 70 sales and marketing staff. At MBL Hong Kong, Clive specialised in brand strategy and advertising development research, with clients such as Martell, De Beers and San Miguel.
He has undertaken short and long-term consulting engagements to over 100 SMEs and startups during his time in Singapore.
Clive’s marketing and management roles have included new product development, repositioning and line extension development, for VISA, Boots, Celestion Audio and Cussons. He has led teams in TV production, digital marketing and sales support.
He was a founding board member of The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) Asia.
Originally from the UK, Clive has lived and worked in Asia since early 1995.
He is known as “Mr Governance” due to the fraud-free 7+ years heading ASSOB, the world’s oldest equity crowdfunding platform. He is a respected authority in, and popular speaker on minimising fraud in equity based crowdfunding.
As a result of his experience in due diligence processes in capital raisings for businesses and non-profits, he is sought after to advise in this area. He specialises in designing trust-based systems. This includes business process re-engineering and on-line processes to encompass blockchain based solutions.
With a financial background, Paul’s experience includes strategic consulting and senior management roles, in both Europe and Australia, and crowdfunding with both accredited and unaccredited investors.
Ralph has a deep and broad knowledge of philanthropy management, due diligence and risk management in the Asian context.
He sits on the boards of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (Hong Kong Chapter), and The Hong Kong Foundation for Charities.
Ralph has provided strategic advice and counsel on Hong Kong and China major gift fundraising. He has developed pan-Asia major gift fundraising strategic plans and capacity reviews. Ralph has also provided strategic advice and counsel in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and China on major gift prospect stewardship and solicitation.
He prepared and launched a capital fundraising campaign for The Child Development Centre in Hong Kong, which included two Asian “firsts” – privately placed financial offerings via Social Enterprise Bonds and Preferred Shares to help leverage donor and investor support.
Ralph holds a joint Executive MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
